The Mayor of Rhuddlan’s Civic Sunday was very well supported by the community and neighbouring town and community councils. A total of £345 was raised which was donated to the Dementia Friendly Rhuddlan Steering Group for the excellent work it is doing in the community.
During the Civic Sunday service, the Reverend Brian Huw Jones had chosen a theme on doing good work in the community and working together for the benefit of the community. from Galatians. The Mayor and Deputy Mayor also contributed to this theme by reading a passage from Galatians “So, let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone.
If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important”.
Everyone is welcome to come along to the singing sessions which start at 1pm and run until 2-30 pm in Rhuddlan Library. They are free of charge and you get tea/coffee and biscuits. The next session is 16th April and every 2 weeks after that.
