Remembrance
Rhuddlan Town Council held a Commemoration Service on the 15th August to mark the Victory in Japan Day (75 years ago), which was the day on which Japan surrendered in World War 11, in effect bringing the war to an end.
The Mayor, Cllr Arwel Roberts said “residents of Rhuddlan and members of the Town Council were keen hold a service to pay their respect. Thanks go to all who supported the service and respected the social distancing measures that were put in place,”. £115 was raised for the Mayors good cause – the Royal British Legion. The lights at the Castle and St Mary’s Church were lit in red to mark the commemoration.
Thank you to Barrie Mee, Will Evans and Helen Partridge for the photos.
