Rhuddlan has a New Vegan Bistro
The Mayor and Mayoress of Rhuddlan (Cllr. Arwel Roberts and his wife Awen) visited the newly opened Green Island Bistro recently. They paused briefly in the doorway for a quick photo with the bistro’s owners before they went inside to sample the vegan menu.
The bistro is located at Java Square Coffee Shop at the rear of the Rejuva beauty salon in Rhuddlan High Street. It is open on Friday evenings for cocktails and a range of vegan tapas. On Saturday and Sunday, they offer vegan breakfasts, brunches, lunches and Sunday roasts.
Cllr. Roberts said “It was so good to see that a new business had opened in our High Street. The offer of a vegan menu adds a further attraction to a High Street that offers a range of interesting shops for residents and visitors. Small businesses like the bistro and the other shops are so important for the economic life of the small towns and communities in Wales. We had an excellent lunch and we wish the bistro all success for the future”.
