Youth Club opens at Hwb Rhuddlan
Monday 11th September was a significant day for Rhuddlan Town Council as it was the day the new Rhuddlan Youth Club opened at the council’s Hwb Rhuddlan situated on Admiral’s Field in the town. The Town Council together with the two Rhuddlan County Councillors have been working with the Youth Services Team at Denbighshire to achieve this important town plan objective.
The Youth Club is for children aged between 11 and 16 and is open from 6pm until 8pm every Monday during school term time. The Denbighshire Youth Team are very experienced and will provide a very wide variety of supervised internal and external activities based at the Hwb.
Rhuddlan Town Mayor Cllr. Mike Kermode said “The Town Council is keen to support the work of the County Council’s Youth Service in the town. We are making funds available to them and we have offered them the use of our Hwb building on Admiral’s Playing Field on Monday evenings. This gives them the opportunity to use our Hwb building, the various facilities on the playing field and the multi-use games area. I was at the Hwb on Monday for the first meeting and met with the Youth Services team and it was great to see their enthusiasm to work with young people in the town.”
Claire Cunnah who leads the DCC Youth Team said “The Youth Service are delighted that this partnership work is going ahead. The Hwb is a super community resource for the young people and we are looking forward to working alongside the Town Council.
All young people aged 11 – 16 are welcome. Please come along, meet our team, Gaz, Sam and Alex and join in with our inclusive activities.”
