Today was the second Wednesday morning of 11 planned visits by Ysgol y Castell primary school children to Rhuddlan Bowling club to learn the art and skill of Crown Green Bowling.
This initiative was made possible by the generous support of Rhuddlan Town Council who financed the purchase of “Bowls Buddies” bowls equipment specially made with children in mind. Mayor Val Simmons on her last full day as Mayor came along today to inspect the new bowls and have a go using them with the children. She was thanked by the children before showing them a clean pair of heels with her fabulous bowling skills winning 2 of the various activities.
