Improvements in Admirals Playing Field

Rhuddlan Town Council is working in partnership with Denbighshire County Council Countryside Services to improve the tree line in Admirals Playing field.

The  County’s Biodiversity Officer  recommended a medium term plan which would greatly benefit the area by giving the trees in the cemetery, planted by the council years ago the chance to grow which means laying an old hedge which has outgrown its location.

The Mayor, Cllr Arwel Roberts stated that “members of the Town Council were fully supportive of this initiative which would tidy up and improve the biodiversity of the area whilst giving the trees a chance to develop”.

The project to also include infill planting of new hedging plants and the brash to be used as a mulch at the base of the hedge.
