Presentation of Long Service Awards

Two former Rhuddlan Town Councillors were recently presented with loyal service awards by Town Mayor Mike Elgin.

Andy Smith was presented with an award in recognition of his dedicated service to Rhuddlan.  Andy has served the council for over 10 years and during this time he has been Mayor on two occasions and has chaired many committees.

Syd Gaskin was presented with an award for his service over 14 years on Rhuddlan Town Council over two periods.  Syd was instrumental in the provision of defibrillators across Rhuddlan and could be seen very often carrying out checks to ensure they were ready for use.

Mike Elgin thanked both Syd and Andy for their dedicated service to the town and presented them both with Loyal Service medals and flowers to their wives Sue and Rosie.
