Press Release – Admirals Field Update

In 2021 Rhuddlan Town Council purchased a building that was previously the Munchkins Nursery situated next to Admiral Fields near the MUGA (multi-use games area).  Planning permission has been granted to refurbish the building and turn it into a Community Building.  When the refurbishment is completed there will be:

• 2 new public toilets (one to a disabled standard) accessible from dawn to dusk
• 3 multi-use rooms that can be used for various activities and can be opened out into one room
• An area with a small kitchen in which refreshments can be made
• Another internal toilet
• External storage

The council have plans to resurface the car park next to the MUGA, the area outside the new Community Building and the access road.  It has applied for a “Commuted Sums” grant from Denbighshire County Council to carry out these external works. If this application is successful it will result in:

• Increased even and lined car parking including specific disabled car parking spaces
• Safe access from the MUGA to the Community Building
• Safe access from the Bowling Club and allotments to the new Community Building
• Safe access off Admiral Field to the Community building

It all goes to plan it is anticipated the project will be completed by the middle of this year. Watch this space for further updates.
