Project Name: A55 Eastbound J24 to J27
Proposed Works: Essential carriageway surfacing repairs
Programme Start Date: Wednesday 17/3/21 19:30hrs
Programme Completion Date: Friday 26/3/21 06:00hrs

I refer to the above and wish to inform you that the works noted will be undertaken over 7 nights between 17/3/21 – 20/03/21 (3 nights) and 22/03/21 – 26/3/21 (4 nights)

This could result in a higher than usual level of noise at intervals and I take this opportunity in apologising in advance for any inconvenience incurred.
A full closure of the A55 will be required and will be implemented between 20:00 – 06:00 (when traffic flows are lower).
Proposed programme of traffic management restrictions:

Traffic along the diversion route will be monitored to identify any issues / additional mitigation measures that may need to be considered.
Emergency Services (Police / Fire / Ambulance)
All traffic (including Emergency Service vehicles) travelling in the area to utilise the appropriate diversion route(s).
Abnormal loads
Loads over 3.0m in width will not be permitted to travel on the Diversion between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours from 17th – 20th March and 22nd – 26th March 2021
Provisions will be in place for abnormal loads over 3.0m to park up overnight in the eastbound lay by at Junction 23 Llanddulas
Holyhead Port
I would be grateful if you could inform ferry traffic of these proposed closures and advise all vehicles to drive safely along the diversion route.
Additional information
Liaison with Welsh Government Orders Branch regarding Traffic Orders has been undertaken.
Co-ordination with NMWTRA and Local Authority Streetworks Managers regarding all aspects of the works (including suitability of diversion route) has been undertaken.
Full consideration has been given to the impact of the work on road users, residents and work force e.g. Type of temporary traffic management (Full road closures with local diversions, contra flow, lane closures etc. road space, date of works, time of works, other works etc.)
Information signs have been erected prior to the works advising the travelling public of the closure dates and times.
NMWTRA have will distribute a letter to properties alongside the works area informing residents / businesses.
Arrangements have will be put in place to allow/workers to access and leave the properties within the closure.
Winter Service Contractors (PA) will be notified (gritting actions are co-ordinated every night).
