Date of Poll: Thursday 12 June 2025
Rhuddlan Town Council
Elections are to be held for 1 town councillor. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer on any day after the date of this notice but not later than 4 pm on Thursday, 15 May 2025.
- Nomination papers may be delivered to the Returning Officer at County Hall, Ruthin, Denbighshire, LL15 1YN (by appointment only) from the date of publication of this notice or electronically as per the arrangements set out in the electronic delivery statement below.
- Nomination papers may be obtained from the Returning Officer either at County Hall, Ruthin, Denbighshire, LL15 1YN, or online from the Electoral Commission website:
or requested electronically by email (see the ‘electronic delivery statement’ below).
- If any election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday, 12 June 2025.
- Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at County Hall, Ruthin, Denbighshire, LL15 1YN by Tuesday 27 May 2025. Applications can be made online at: UK: register to vote [2]
- Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at County Hall, Ruthin, Denbighshire, LL15 1YN by 5 pm on Wednesday, 28 May 2025.
- New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at County Hall, Ruthin, Denbighshire, LL15 1YN by 5 pm on Wednesday 4 June 2025.
- Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election because of physical incapacity or for work / service reasons, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at County Hall, Ruthin, Denbighshire, LL15 1YN by 5 p.m. on Thursday, 12 June 2025. To apply the person must have become aware that they cannot go to the polling station in person after 5 pm on Wednesday, 4 June 2025.

Electronic Delivery Statement
Nomination papers submitted electronically by email must be delivered in accordance with the arrangements set out in this statement.

The above email addresses may also be used for nomination queries and for submitting draft nomination papers for an informal check (please clearly mark in the subject field of the email ‘Draft Nomination for Checking’).
Formal submissions of nomination papers should be clearly marked as ‘Formal Submission of Nomination’.
Where possible, please include your telephone contact details in the covering email in case of queries.
Nomination papers should be attached to the email in either a Word or PDF format. A typed signature, electronic signature, or a wet ink signature (on a scanned nomination paper) are all valid signature types for nomination papers delivered electronically.
It is the responsibility of candidates to ensure that the Returning Officer receives nomination forms in the correct way by the required deadlines.
An electronic read receipt from the Returning Officer is not confirmation that the nomination is valid. The Returning Officer will send a notice to inform candidates of his decision as to whether or not their nomination is valid. However, you should receive an automatic response from the email address shown above, which will indicate that an email has been received.
