Rhuddlan Community Group
If you have been wandering in the vicinity of the Vicarage Lane play area recently you may have noticed a circle of trees that have been planted alongside the footpath leading to Gwindy Street, and also two flowering cherry trees near the bench on the same path.
This is a Rhuddlan Community Group initiative with the blessing of Rhuddlan Town Council to create a ‘Memorial Garden’ to recognise the selfless commitment of our front line workers, and remember those we have sadly lost during the pandemic period no matter what the reason.
The Community Group would like to express their sincere thanks to our local Co-op and customers, who through their Community Fund giving have made this project possible.
The project is not quite finished, as the plan included a bench alongside the ring of trees, and we have just heard that, subject to siting, this has also been approved by Rhuddlan Town Council.
