Rhuddlan Town Council Recognises Fantastic Services to Scouting
At the February meeting of Rhuddlan Town Council a special presentation was carried out to recognise the amazing contribution to scouting made by Carol and Malcolm Boyton. Carol and Malcolm first got involved in volunteering when they helped out at a scouting session over twenty five years ago. They only came along to help out at one session and ended up being Scout Leaders in Rhuddlan for over twenty five years. The council were keen to recognise their outstanding contribution and presented Carol and Malcolm with an engraved decanter.
Rhuddlan Mayor Cllr Mike Kermode said “One of my key themes is to applaud the good work being carried out by volunteers, they can make such a positive difference in the community. The contributions made by Malcolm and Carol Boyton certainly do need to be applauded. I know from my experience about the benefits that young people can gain from being involved in Scouting. Many, many thanks Malcolm and Carol you have done great work and truly deserve the award made to you by the Council. ”
