A community partnership has helped biodiversity flourish at a popular Rhuddlan venue.
Denbighshire County Council Countryside staff have worked closely with the community group behind Rhuddlan Nature Reserve to grow a thriving environment for both biodiversity and visitors to embrace.

Denbighshire County Council 2023 Wildflower Meadow Project

The following sites in Rhuddlan have been identified as potential sites for the Denbighshire County Council 2023 Wildflower Meadow Project. If included, each of these sites will be managed in a different way, moving away from frequent mowing, to create wildflower areas within the public realm. The aim of this is to increase biodiversity.

Town Council Support of 2023 Events in Rhuddlan

Rhuddlan Town Council have formed an Events Committee which aims to help the council support local organisations and groups to put on events in the Town during the year. A number of events to celebrate the Kings Coronation are already planned.

Over 40 Years’ Service to Scouting

At the January council meeting Mayor Mike Elgin presented Royston Williams with an award from Rhuddlan Town Council in appreciation of over 40 years’ service to Scouting. Royston has been heavily involved in the Scouting movement in Rhuddlan and in this time has mentored many young people in relation to scouting.
